The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Arch is one of three triumphal arches in New York City. Built to commemorate Civil War veterans, it marks the northern gateway to Prospect Park at Grand Army Plaza. If your starting point is The Windsor, it also marks the furthest point on a gorgeous and challenging four-mile circuit looping around the park’s entire circumference.
